For many prospective purchasers, the beating heart of the Brute Force 450 will be a core point of interest. The liquid-cooled, shaft-drive, fuel-injected 4-stroke 443 cm3 motor is equipped with CVT transmission providing smooth, positive transitions from low- to high-speeds while an air-cleaner duct high on the chassis contributes to impressive wading ability.
Electrically selectable 2WD/4WD allows easy transition between drive systems to suit changing terrain and applications with 2WD offering light steering then 4WD offering enhanced traction and, finally, 4WD plus differential lock for maximum traction.
