Kawasaki KLE500 riders took part last weekend in the “Super GP” at Rocco’s Ranch, held in Barcelona, one of the most spectacular and high-profile Flat Track events on the Spanish national scene, coinciding with the Catalunya MotoGP Grand Prix.

The 2026 edition of the Super GP also marked an important new step for the discipline, with the introduction for the first time of the Trail category, divided into two subcategories:

• Trail motorcycles under 200 kg
• Maxi Trail motorcycles over 200 kg

Both categories competed together in the same race, bringing together motorcycles with very different concepts, weights and engine capacities in an extremely demanding environment.

For this first participation, two units of the new KLE 500 were entered, demonstrating outstanding performance on the dirt track from the very first practice sessions.

The final result confirmed the excellent feeling shown throughout the event. The Kawasaki KLE 500 achieved overall victory in both races, securing first place with Ferrán Cardús and second place with Ferran Sastre.

Competing against larger and more powerful motorcycles from the Maxi Trail category, the new KLE 500 demonstrated exceptional performance thanks to its low weight, balanced chassis and ergonomics especially suited to off-road riding.

Its agility, ease of control and traction on dirt allowed the KLE 500 to become one of the most competitive and effective motorcycles at the event, further confirming the versatility of a model designed to deliver both fun and effectiveness on and off the road.
