As Kawasaki’s top-tier naturally aspirated runabouts, the ULTRA 160 models feature a responsive and reliable 160 PS engine, a deep-V hull for smooth, precise handling, high-tech features and luxury styling. And now, for 2027, that highly praised package is available with a wake sport focus for the very first time. Like every other model in the 2027 range, it benefits from a new three-year manufacturer warranty, as do new JET SKI models already in stock at authorised Kawasaki PWC dealers, from 1 October 2026.

The new craft is built around the race-developed hull and the acclaimed engine. The deep-V hull is loaded with technology from Kawasaki’s championship-winning machines, carving turns with precision and offering complete control along with a high level of seaworthiness.

Drawing on a large 80-litre fuel tank (ensuring long range between fill-ups), the naturally aspirated, liquid-cooled 1,498 cm3 in-line four-cylinder marine engine balances high performance with low emissions, good fuel economy and family-friendly power delivery.

Uniquely, the JET SKI ULTRA 160LX-S WAKESPORT benefits from a range of equipment to make outings on lakes or at sea even more enjoyable. At the rear right of the craft is a built-in wakeboard rack specially designed to secure and carry wakeboards.

Also built into the grab bar behind the seat is a wake pylon that is connected to the hull and runs through a model-specific rope storage compartment. When towing a wakeboarder, the rope can be hooked to the top of the pylon.

Specific to this model is a seat optimised for wake sport use. Its material helps to reduce rider and passenger slippage when in motion. The middle and rear seat sections are at a similar height, giving the passenger a more comfortable seat when facing backwards to watch the wakeboarder. The grab bar behind the seat is raised by 45 mm compared to the standard model and has a round shape, both of which provide a solid grip for a rear-facing passenger.

The ULTRA 160LX-S WAKESPORT also features a Wake Mode in addition to its Full Power, Middle Power and SLO modes. Wake Mode is used when pulling riders out of the water from a standstill. It helps maintain the 30–40 km/h speed range ideal for wakeboarders to rise from the water and stand up, providing precise control during this important transition. It also helps PWC riders not used to towing wakeboarders get closer to the ideal conditions for standing up. Even the fuel injection settings for Wake Mode are fine-tuned to give a composed feeling when pulling the wakeboarder out of the water for a riding session.

In terms of styling, the ULTRA 160LX-S WAKESPORT is equally distinctive, featuring vibrant colours including light blue, orange and white accents on a black body to create contrasts that pop, catching the eyes of onlookers. Even the seat upholstery picks up the body colours for a standout appearance, with divided sections allowing multiple seat colours.
