With thoughts already turning to what two-wheel treats may be on offer in 2027, Kawasaki has confirmed that both the recently introduced Z650 S and the highly praised Z900 (plus its 70kW and SE variants) will play a major part in its upcoming road bike range.

Praised at its recent debut for its agility and rider-friendly power delivery, the Z650 S takes its inspiration from the established Z650 and moves the game on with broader shrouds and a wider handlebar plus newly designed bodywork delivering an aggressive edge while aluminium highlight accents are featured throughout.

KTRC traction control is complemented by an accessory quick-shifter option spicing up the ride. TFT colour instrumentation dominates the high-grade cockpit view of a bike with an appealing, aggressive stance thanks to Kawasaki’s unique Sugomi* styling. 

Further up the capacity scale, the Z900 remains one of Kawasaki’s most successful models of the past decade, and for good reason. Covering all possible naked-category requirements, the Z900 is not only available as a premium SE model but also as a 70kW machine that can be restricted to meet European A2 licence requirements.

The Z900’s 948cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled in-line four engine has a quick-revving character and strong mid-range that pulls hard to the redline for maximum thrills. Beyond that visceral engine and chassis package and its unique Sugomi* styling, the Z900 also benefits from an up/down quick shifter, electronic cruise control, switchable traction and power modes and turn-by-turn navigation, plus IMU-based cornering management.

The SE model oozes quality with Brembo front brake calipers and an Öhlins rear shock among its refinements. Not enough? There is also a Performance Edition for 2027 featuring detail upgrades including an Akrapovič carbon exhaust silencer**. 

Naturally, the Z650 S and Z900 both offer Kawasaki Rideology Smartphone connectivity and can be further personalised using an array of Kawasaki Genuine Accessories.

The prospect of the 2027 riding season just got even more tempting thanks to the presence of the Z650 S plus Z900, Z900 70kW and Z900 SE.
